"Legendary Offshore Fishing"

Black Sheep is a classic 31 foot Bertram express sportfishing vessel. "The boat that built the Bertram empire", 31's were manufactured from 1961 to 1985. Black Sheep is hull #203, built in February of 1962. The first production deep vee hull, the 31 went from a record-breaking raceboat to one of the most popular offshore fishing boats ever, with a well deserved reputation for rough water performance and fish raising ability. Black Sheep has been completely restored and updated, including repowering in 2001 with 6BTA Cummins diesel engines of 275 hp each and new Twin Disc transmissions. For your on board comfort, a diesel generator powers air conditioning/heating, stereo, TV/VCR, microwave, refrigerator and lighting for night fishing. Complete fishing equipment from flyrods to big game tackle, outriggers, fighting chair and live well are complimented by redundant electronics in the form of VHF radio, video fish finders, GPS, and Radar. During Hurricane Alicia, a previous owner let this boat break its lines and end up resting on pavement. The only damage was a bent rudder. Black Sheep survived the hurricane, she can take you fishing and bring you back safely!

The restoration of Black Sheep was recently featured in the February/March 2002 issue of MARLIN Magazine.
